proposals (a) that a post of European

Probationer on a salary of $1200-$120-

$1560 should be substituted for that

of Assistant Superintendent on the

local establishment which is at

present vacant;

and

(b) that in selecting a

candidate to fill the vacancy caused

by the death of Mr. Holdman first

consideration should be given to

suitable European officers in other

branches of the Service.
